BABY "J" HURRY UP!

Odd day today. Kim went for check up and they decided to keep her in in due to high blood pressure! They even talked of inducing her tonight or tomorrow - the excitement nearly proved to be brown. But then by the time they found Kim a bed for the night her blood pressure had settled (which is a good thing of course) the panic was over.

They are keeping her for observation tonight, which means A DECENT NIGHTS SLEEP FOR ME AND THE BED TO MYSELF!

The bad thing is if the check up had been routine they would have given us a date to be induced and we now feel cheated.

Due date come and gone!

You spend the first half of pregnancy counting "how many weeks preganant you are" you then spend the second half counting down how many weeks to go. No one tells you that there is usually a third sector " how many days overdue the baby is!" We are now entering this third sector after having been focused on our due date "27th March" for the past 40weeks. Kim did however have a single contraction (we think ) this morning about 6am - which did get me excited - but when we went to count the time between contractions - the second one just never came and we went back to sleep.

Hello all, with Kim now only two days away from the due date of our first baby I though it was time we had our own blog. This will aloow us to keep you all up to date on any developments and when the baby arrives we can post our baby photos. (It should also save us from e-mailing photos to Kims little sis in the states).

The photo shows us on holiday at lake Tahoe last year before we made the baby. Notice how relaxed and refreshed we look. We will put an updated photo on after the baby arrives to show the effects of sleep deprivation.
